Foxenden Air Raid Shelter When the Luftwaffe was escalating its bombing campaigns over southern England in WWII local government was forced into action to provide mass shelters for the local populace. Foxenden, dug into the face of a disused chalk quarry, provided shelter for Guildford residents. |
