The British National Ploughing Championships The 56th year of this prestigious agricultural event organised by the Society of Ploughmen was hosted on the Loseley Park Estate near Guildford in October 2006. Ploughmen from all over the country competed and ploughed 176 acres of land in the process. Winners can expect to represent their country at European and World Championships. |

The championships are held in different parts of the country each year. The last time Surrey hosted the event was in 1977. Twelve ploughing classes are competed for by 150 of the country's top ploughmen. |
