The Wobbly Hill Races Just to prove that English eccentricity is alive and well in the beautiful hills of the Wey Valley we bring exclusively to you our photofile on this extraordinary annual event. Hosted in May by the Merry Harriers pub in Hambledon, near Godalming in Surrey, the races allow a bunch of daredevils to throw all concept of self-preservation to the wind, and pilot their karts at breakneck speed down a course on one of the steepest hills in the valley. Why? Who knows - but the beer's great and the craic absolutely unbeatable! |
