	The lid will sit proud of the kiln's rim until the logs begin to settle as the fire takes hold. The white smoke is primarily steam at this stage.		Mounting one of the four chimneys.
	Now the lid has dropped to the kiln's rim Ian bangs it shut to ensure a tight fit.		Earth is now piled on to the rim of the lid . . . .
	. . . . and firmed down to ensure a tight seal. The temperature within the kiln will reach between 260-300° celsius.		The intake vents allow a limited and regulated oxygen supply to access the kiln for the combustion process..
